Lisa Fitzgerald is an American ballet dancer and teacher based in London. She is the Co-founder and Associate Artistic Director of Exit12 Dance Company, an international arts organisation dedicated to telling veterans stories through dance and using movement as a way to connect and heal.

She holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Saint Mary’s College of California, a teaching certificate from the Bolshoi Ballet Teacher Certification Program, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts Education Dance Teaching at the Royal Academy of Dance in London.

Lisa Fitzgerald graduated from the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts and began her professional career with Connecticut Ballet, later dancing for Ballet Ambassadors, Ballet Theatre Company, Sarah Berges Dance and various choreographers in NYC and London. Ms. Fitzgerald’s roles include The Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Lilac Fairy in Sleeping BeautyGamzatti in La Bayadere, and has had various classical and contemporary roles created for her.

Her work with Exit12 has been recognized by the Washington Post, NBC, FoxNews, and she choreographed and performed in the Award-winning film, Exit12 Moved By War. With Exit12 she has performed at West Point Military Academy, The Intrepid Museum, Lincoln Center, TEDxTU Berlin, King’s College London, and The Maltings Theater, UK.  

As a dance educator, Ms. Fitzgerald has taught ballet, pointe, contemporary and creative movement at the Mark Morris Dance Center, Ballet Theatre Company, The United Nations NYC, Regal Ballet, and CityAcademyUK. Along with teaching, Ms. Fitzgerald has choreographed and staged both original and classical ballets for children's programs and pre-professional schools. She is currently on faculty with West London School of Dance, London Ballet Classes, and Pineapple Dance Studios.
